I've been looking into a set of coilovers myself for about the greater part of a year. I was going back and forth between getting the HKS or D2 units. I finally decided to go with the D2s. According to UPS they have arrived and should be delivered to me today. Once I get them on I'll let you know what I think about them.

I like that they use firm springs, but on the Mazda6, the shocks they include suck.

And shocks are more important than springs.

You get what you pay for, I guess.

Sorry for the delay. I'm just getting around to getting them put on. Will be doing this on Saturday. I should have a great time testing them out since I'll also be taking a road trip. I should have a review posted here by Monday.

Well, since I was on my way up to New York this past weekend I stopped by New Mothers Performance in NJ and had the D2s put on. After the install I had a good opportunity to get a feel for this kit from riding the broken streets of the city to my highway drive back to VA. In short I really do love the setup. At first I thought it would really beat up on me and be rough. But its not bad at all. At first it seemed not much more rough than stock until you run over some really bad street. I set them at about a 1 1/2 inch drop and set the dampening at half at all corners. This car feel totally like different ride in that it can really carve those highway ramps at some nice speeds.

there are a bunch of people in the drifting community here in las vegas that use d2. they use it in the 240sx. I used to own a 240sx before i got my rx-8 but i never got to buy some d2s. From the people that i spoke with and used them, they said that they are really good coilovers for the price... almost comparable to those higher end ones.
