autoexe 4 pt strut bar

Any one got it? Any one have any reviews or criticisms? Any pics?

I'm looking into a strut bar but cant decide on the autoexe, MS 2pt, or the cpracing triangle one. I have no information on the autoexe, but have seen just a couple of pics.

Turns out these are available in that icky blue they use for their eBay ads, plus red, black, and silver. Price is right ($150), design is right, so now a silver one is on it's way to me. :D

I have had a red CP Racing front strut bar for about 6 months now. I was happy with this bar from the beginning, I am sure it added noticeable rigidity to the from end, even going straight. There have been some negative posts, but I have always been happy with my K&N Intake which has had negative posts as well. I have learned to read the posts and talk to many knowlegeable people and make my own decision.
After the front strut bar, I put a JIC rear strut bar on and have been likewise happy with that as well. You can tell I am a happy guy with each mod to my car.

AH, I knew someone else on this forum had the bar.

The negative comments I've heard centered more around slow shipping, which I too am experiencing. But they have been communicating with me, so I'm not too tense about it as yet. Other than that, it seems to be a good performing, reasonably priced unit. And I like the design. We'll see when I get it.

Can the CP strut bar be used with the engine cover?

Does the CP unit also include a master brake cylinder brace? Most JDM strut bars do...

Don't think so, but I'm not worried about it.

I just emailed these guys the following questions:

Hi,

I was wondering three things about this strut brace.

1) Does it come in any other colors besides the light blue? How about black, or silver?

2) Does it have the master cylinder brace as many of the other four point strut braces do?

3) Does your online price include shipping? Is that $200 to my door?

Thanks,
And their reply:

Goood day,

brace is available in black or silver also, does not have a master cylinder brace, online price includes shipping anywhere in Canada or Continental US. Take care

Ask them if it puts any pressure on the brake lines coming out of the ABS box.

And would you really want brake lines rubbing up against anything?

They also offer a rear tie bar now that bolts to the control arms on the rear suspension...not quite a full under brace set, but hey...

Yeah I saw that, but I'm not convinced. If the stock suspension needed something like that, Mazda would have added it. That looks to me like a money-waster...

Yes, thinking about it. I like the looks of the MS strut bar, but we all know looks has nothing to do with performance. Also the the MS is only a 2 pt and the fact that it is hinged bothers me as it would seem that would limit it's effectivness. Anyway, these are the reasons I have been looking at the CR unit. If you get this please keep us updated and give us a review after throwing it in some corners.
