I'm getting an Winning Blue rx8 soon but need some winter wheels quick to go with it I've decided on the Toyo - GARIT HT® 215/55R17 94H and Motegi Racing - MR7 White 17x7 5x100/5x114.3 40mm (White) Combo. I called Tiretrends and asked them if they would fit, they told me "they don't know" even after speaking with a Motegi rep, they said "We would have to do a test fit". So is there anyone here who could shed some light on the subject...

Don't want to be stuck with some wheels that I can't put on, a brand new RX8 that I can't driver because no winter wheels and 100$ to ship the wheels back to store.

I've heard that some 17 will pass the breaks and some won't. What is the reason for it? 17 is 17 right?? if the offset and bolt patern is good it should fit?

not sure about that offset... 40mm is kinda small

also ask about the center bore size... you want at least 67.1mm or the generic 71mm with hubcentric rings to go along with it.
