caliper confusion?

so i read up on some post on the "search" button.. so i did what someone else did. i cleaned my calipers when they were cool, i sprayed the paint into a cup instead of spraypainting.i used VHT i think what its called from autozone. but i put a small dabb on the caliper and it was watery paint..why is that? i took the paint off right after to further make my caliper ugly.

whats the problem??

from my past caliper painting experiences...... the first coat is always watery.... you just gotta let that 1st coat dry and the 2nd coat will go on nicely because it has something to grab onto..

Mask off the caliper and spray it. I only used the "spray into the cup" to have paint for touching up. It is some work but worth it.

Spray paint is thinner than brush paint, so it won't work as well as brush paint when you do it that way.
