Now this is a thread I like.. Great choice of wheel. I am going to purchase some 17" for racing purposes. The 17x8 come in at a whopping 13.6 pounds 14.5 for the 17x9.

Where did you purchase these wheels from?

Sweet.. Thankx for the link.

You'll have to post pics when you get them.. either on or off the car.

I bet they will look great and perform just as good.

im probably goin to keep 225's in the front, but thinking of 255/35r18 for the rear it really deppends on the offset of the wheels.

I was gonna get some wider 17's for the track, but the auto shop i went to said my rotors and brakes where to big and i couldn't fit 17's. i suspected BS but i wasnt sure. do u know if 17's will fit?

Well I would think they would fit. On our 18's we can go as low as a 36mm offset and they will still fit. I'll have to check around to see if these 17's will fit. I have a 50mm offset with my new wheels and it's major overkill.. I should have gone with something less but it really doesnt matter that much as it's just being driven on the street.

I don't know if the offset change is a good thing. it certainly makes the steering heavier and spoils the crisp responce the std wheels have. lower offset looks good but thats about it

Here is someone who is running 17's.

https://www.rx8club.com/vbgarage.php?do=view&id=5323

I am going to go with this exact same setup though with Buddy Club QF 17x8.5 and 17x9.5 running Toyo RA1's 255/40ZR17 and 275/40ZR17. Should be a sweet setup.

Thanks.

These are the Buddyclub P1 racing SP2 one piece cast version.

They are 18" with a 45 offset if i havent remembered wrong.

Tires are just the OEM tires to save some $$ :p
