beers

Should work now, I changed my email address and didn't realize I had to reauthenticate my account. I couldn't post or anything and couldn't figure out why until I checked my email. My slots are straight not curved. Do you guys think I need to have the sides switched? I was telling Swoope that when I went to have them installed the guys there asked which was left and right because it wasn't marked. I didn't know and they said to call who I got them from so I called up rx8store and they told me that the slots need to slot towards the rear so that's why I assumed they were on right. Let me know what you guys think. Thanks

Quality wise, how is the kit from rx8store? $560 for rotors, pads and lines seems like a good deal.

Big question that hasn't been asked....Do these rust up in rain like oem rotors???
I bought a pair of drill slotted rotors for an impala i had, claimed to be sprayed with something or other for no rust...but in the end they became rusty when raining just like the Rx8 rotors do....I know they sell a bunch of cheapy drill slotted rotors on ebay just wondering if we have had a rating system on all of the different sets on Rx8 club? kinda like a user rating (consumer's digest)

All iron rotors rust around moisture.

You can buy some alloy rotors that look nice and don't rust. But they are not as good at stopping than iron rotors and you have to use their "recommended" brake pads.

Or you can buy some carbon rotors and have a kit custom made for your rx8. But thats probably going to me upwards of 4K.

Generally.

Braking Performance = noise, dust, and rust. (and sometimes sparks )

Looks = looks that just sit there.

But likely he was talking about replacing the rotors because the inner metal hat was rusting.

Most people just pull them off and paint them and its good. I think models now come with this part coated silver so they won't rust.
