Which brake pads

The time has come to replace the brake pads. As this is my first time on this vehicle, I want to find a good pad at a fair price. So, my searching has lead toward the Axxis and Hawk. Was wondering if anyone has tried the Akebono Ultimate line?

I've got Hawk street compound. No noise but dirty. Yes I would buy again because I know what noisey brakes sound like

I've found most recently that regardless they should be ceramic as anything else WILL produce one of the worst sounds in the world....

I just have the Autozone brand (duralast) ceramic pads and I haven't had a problem with them. Had horrible noises with the OEM pads and switched to these and haven't heard a thing since. I know a few other members have had them and they didn't have a problem either.

You might want to look further at other brands like Racing Brakes. Look at their ET300 and ET500 line of products. I have the ET500's on my RX-8 now. Search...

Was stationed at Camp Casey, Korea from 94 to 95 at 2nd Tank. After Korea, i went to Fort Stewart, Georgia, and ended my last days over there.

You were in the deuce??? WHO YA WIT??? LOL yes they still do that but deuce tank is gone so now it's just 1-72 AR in Dragon Valley. Unfortunately I was stuck in Manchu land with 2-9 INF (M) constantly staring across S#it Creek wishing I was in 1-72.....good times though good times. BTW I added a few photos in my album of my days in the ROK

Didn't know 2nd tank is gone. 1st tank is up on the hill. Whenever the 2nd tank mess hall is close, we will have to climb up the stairs to go to the 1st tank mess hall to eat...and it was quite a climb. Anyway, i miss those days, and i miss going outside the post to see "mamasan"...if you know what i mean...lol
