hi all,

am trying to order hawk pads. but from their site, there is only 1 common part number for their pad. Is the pad similar in size for AT and MT?

 

If you have the 18" wheels you can order them.

 

believe it or not, front pads are the exact same size and everything for the MT and base AT.

 

front is same? how about rear?

or i'll just try my luck to order as EXPO1 said that i got 18" wheel so i can order

 

I checked a dealer site http://www.finishlineperformance.com and they showed the same part for rear pads. They did however have different front pads for RX-8's with 18" & 16" rims

 

Believe me, it uses the same pads. I had a base auto 8, used mazdaspeed pads, ebc green stuff and hawk pads. They only make one kind of pads for the front. I am more than positive that you can buy any aftermarket pads and it'd fit both manual and base auto.

 

hm...Hawk never specifies their front pad is for 18" or 16"...
should I risk it?

 

just got replied from HAWK:
"I have done some research on the braking systems in the different RX-8 cars.
From what I can find the pads are the same shapes and sizes in all of the
2007 RX-8 cars. So the FRONT - HB470F.643 and REAR - HB378F.626 are the
correct part numbers for your RX-8."
