braided lines and new pads

it seems like these would be the best upgrades to do so im looking for you experiences. ebc redstuff seem to be good pads, but im open to other suggestions. as for lines, what makes one set better than the others and why do prices vary so much?

I replaced the lines, it make the pedal firmer but thats about it.

I got the Goodrich Gstop from www.racingbeat.com and the fitment sucked, the the clip's where low quality and fit EXTREMELY loose and/or broke under virtually no pressure (I ended up using the OEM clips). Also had to drill out some of the brackets that came with the kit because they where to small.

Needless to say I don't recommend that kit, and am hoping the lines themselves arn't as bad as the rest of the kit.

the SS lines that can be bought from mazdatrix are good quality and won't cost a fortune. Inspect them when you get them, before taking anything apart, one of mine had a bad crimp, they replaced it, and I have had no trouble with them. A few of us here in GA use them, and no one else had any problems, just a fluke.

As for pads, why not just use the stock ones, they are excellent for being OEM parts. Do you need something more aggresive for track, or is it just for daily use?

they hold up ok on track, when they are relatively new, but can get overheated quick.

you might want to look at the Hawk HP+, I love em, and so do the ohter track junkies in our group. They are an amazing track pad, not so great on the street, kinda loud and lots of dust. The Carbotech's have also been praised for their track worthyness, the Panther or something like that.
