Bedding-in Question

So I installed my new powerslots today on new oem pads. After drving it for about 10 miles, I started the bed in process,

However, on my last hard brake from 60-20, the drivers side started to smoke and after I got out to look at it, it looks like any cadmium that was on the rotor surface melted and sprayed the inside of the rims like we solder.....is this bad? Im concerend why the passenger side didnt do this....should i have waited longer before trying to bed in?

Also it doesnt feel like the new brakes are an strong as the old brakes.....will the harden up over time?
