BBS anyone???
Hey guys,
I am considering getting the BBS RS-GT 18X8 for my '05 BB. I have been looking and looking on the forum for someone with these wheels so i can see them before i buy them. I have not seen any BBS wheels on this forum except for one and the pic was too small to get a good look at. It is an alarm to me if nobody else is putting them on their 8. i see the HP Lightning Evo all over the place, which are similar to the RS-GT, but none of the others.
If anyone has any pics or comments on a set of BBS wheels i would be most greateful.
Thanks for your help
Scott
Edit: I got them, here you go:

These were on the top of my list for a while, but as TEam said, the price kept climbing and they are a bit heavier than OE wheels, so i just couldn't justify it.
nice wheels though. I like the LMs as well, which are similar but a bit lighter and cheaper.

I like BBS wheels. They are strong and reasonably light. Compared to most "high-end" custom multipiece wheels, they are much stronger, rounder, better balanced, have better finishes and are less expensive. When I sold wheels, I knew I'd have no headaches and a happy customer if I could get them interested in BBS.
The RS-GT typically has poor clearance for BBKs; RG-R may be better but not always. RS-GT is unnecessarily heavy, as it is two-piece, where RG-R has a very similar look and is usually a couple pounds lighter.
The RE has awesome clearance, and is available 18x9 +45 et, a couple pounds lighter than stock, which would be really nice all around with 245/40-18, probably the most common 18-in. tire size, so you could choose any tire you wanted. Not a maximum performance setup, but still really good; gorgeous and bomb-proof. I'd recommend it as a good call if you like the look and have the money. It's probably what I'd do for a street setup if I'd bought an RX-8 instead of a BMW.
Wheels define a vehicle. Volk is great, but BBS says something else entirely. You should choose the one that you look at and are totally stoked about the vibe of the car.

Well, after much research and deliberating, i got a deal on the BBS wheels, and i could not pass it up. I have always loved these wheels, and i love the style. By the way, the wheels weigh 19 lbs which i belive are a few pounds lighter than stock. Here are a few follow up pics with the wheels installed. Thanks for all the help and advise.
by the way, they are 18X8 +38 225/45 front; 245/40 rear

I originally had the 245's all the way around, they are the Nitto Neo Gen's. I had a blow out and destroyed a tire, so instead of waiting a few days to get the tire in (special order), i bought 2 of the G-force KDW 225 and put them on the front of the car. I never really cared for the nitto's and now witht the G-force on the front, the car handles really good. the off set works for me.

I know, i'm not too crazy about the idea myself, but as i said before it was due to a blow out and had to match at least two of the tires. I hated the Nittos so i wasn't going back to those, and the pocket could only afford two tires at the time.
As for the deal on the wheels, bought them used, and had two of them re-finished. they all look brand new.
