Awd 8

does anyone know if there are companies that have a AWD conversion kit for the rx-8 and who thinks it would be worth it?

possible but not practical, you probably have to swap out everything including engine and tranny, buying an evo would be cheaper

AWD in a RX-8 would be pointless and take away from the car's driving dynamics.

Get a STi/EVO if that's what you're after.

You do realize there's alot of fairly large parts that have to fit on the front end to make this possible... Differential, axles, etc... AWD cars are built around this framework... No way an aftermarket kit could accomplish this.

Probably the closest you would ever come to an AWD 8 would be sticking the renesis in an AWD chassis from another car. It may be an interesting idea but it would hardly be an 8.

IMO, if you were gonna do that might as well be a 20b anyways...

I would like to put two 4-rotor engines in my car, I want it to have 8-wheel drive, weigh under 2000lbs and get 50mpg. I have about 20 bucks to spend. Any suggestions?

Gas mileage will increase as you are more efficiently utilizing your car's power. Wheel spin = gas wasted without moving the car forward. AWD would increase my gas mileage from 7 to at least 9mpg...
