Anyone have torque values handy for front swaybar brackets & endlinks?
Just installed a Hotchkis front sway bar on my 04 RX-8 last night and was disappointed to see Hotchkis didn't include torque specs in their installation procedures. I don't have access to a manual w/torque specs, and I searched this forum using a variety of keywords and came up with nothing.
If any of you guys have access to the torque specs for (a) the front swaybar bushing brackets and/or (b) the endlinks, I'd greatly appreciate it if you can tell me.
Thanks!

Front swaybar (stabilizer) bracket: 25.5 - 36.8 lb-ft
Front swaybar endlink (stabilizer control link): 31.8 - 44.8 lb-ft
The endlink torque value is the same for both connection points (swaybar and a-arm). Hope that helps.

Specs????
Who uses those many more. Ratchet tighten plus a little bit for smaller applications. Bigger bolts/nuts (ex. lugnuts, drivetrain) then use a tq. wrench.
Ask any mechanic and they'll tell you the same.

my mechanic uses a impact wrench for everything, i usually go home and re torque everything to spec afterwards. I've had friends who had lug nuts snap off and suspension parts get loose because its improperly torqued. If you track your car or drive it hard at all i think its pretty damn important to have everything up to spec
Agreed - guessing at appropriate torque values, especially on suspension components and even moreso on cars that will be autocrossed or tracked, is just asking for something to either loosen or break at the worst possible moment.
... ease my worries please, or tell me to fix asap lol...
I think tightened the rear brackets to 25 .... and now im sitting at work freaking out that the bolts are going to shear...
