I just lowered my car with megan racing springs and was wondering what I should want my alignment specs to look like. My front wheels look like they have excessive negative camber, but I read a post on here that I should want as much negative camber as possible. I don't want to wear out the inside edge of my tires prematurely, so I'm a little confused.

My car is a daily driver that will not see the track while I am the owner of it.

I think my front and rear toe should be set as close to 0 as possible, correct?

What about my front and rear camber?

Where did you read that you should want as much negative camber as possible?

If you dont track your car, just take it anywhere and tell them to align it. They will align your car to factory specs.

Reading this quickly again, I may have misunderstood... Maximum negative camber = closer to 0, or as negative as possible? Doesn't make sense to me to achieve negative as possible cause you would eat tires, hence my question here.

Are stock specs what I'm looking for even though I'm using aftermarket springs?

Get an alignment based on your driving style If you like to drive on back roads then get a proper four wheel alignment at a performance shop.

I would be doing the alignment myself, or having one of my buddies do it since I'm hard for open time these days, guess I should have mentioned that. I will get it aligned to factory spec and see how it is.

if you have access and the knowledge of a good alignment rack go for it. but as you are asking for settings, i am guessing not.

take it to a good alignment shop. the stock settings will be fine. it will and has to be a 4 wheel alignment..

Not really asking for settings as that are standard in the computer. I thought the specs would be different since I'm not at stock height, but you all answered my questions. Thanks much!

Not that I know of. A GOOD 4-wheel alignment should cost $99 +/- $10. Also, for our car, more front neg camber than rear is better. (All depends on what mods you have already i guess)

I can only offer my own suggestions that I use on my own car. I daily drive my RX8 which does see about 8 to 10 autocross sessions a year and a few road course days. I run zero toe on all four wheels and run -1 degree of camber on all 4 wheels.

Since I put over 20,000 miles a year on my RX8 I can't afford to buy a new set of tires every 6 months so my camber settings are not as aggressive.
