In other news, I think these will be staying for a while. Have some rear camber work to do today and need some spacers for the fronts but otherwise I'm happy for now

dope wheels! I think if you blacked the lip, and the surface, it would be dope.

I love when that happens! When you mounting? That's a perfect size to be aggressive with meaty tires, good buy!

I'd recommend going with the smaller of your tire choices primarily for fitment. Too small of tires wear out and can eventually be replaced. Too big of tires can bend fenders and create headaches elsehere - much more expensive to fix!

Haha, you guys are silly. I wouldn't mind tint but I can't see myself spending the money on it, at the time being. Not a priority of mine, though it would be nice.

damn thats hawt dude... any pics showing the sides of the wheels? (fender fitment)

I want to see how close your rears are to rubbing. Im thinking of 18x10 +18 but just dont think its possible without excessive camber

Yes, you can tell. Making it work is all about the drop, if you adjust ride height accordingly then it will balance out. Our cars have high rears with lines that slant down towards the front so a bit of rake looks good imho.

If you look at the first pics I posted, when my rears had more camber thus dropping the rear of the car more, you'll notice there is no rake. When evened out the front wheels seem noticeably smaller than when there's a bit of rake, at least in comparing these pictures.

No profile shots right now, these wheels would be a SICK fitment for an 8 without flared fenders. The stagger would be absolutely perfect to work with for our car, I really want to try to sell these on this forum before posting them up elsewhere, for the sake of rx8's everywhere! lol

Ross, what size tires?

Ross, take a look at my rpf1 rear shots. The tips of your tires will have 5mm more clearance, bottom of lip of tire will be pushed out 1mm more. Either way, it won't exactly be easy, but it is indeed possible. How comfortable are you with bashing on the inside of your fenders?

Maybe try a 245/40 to start out with then work from there. It's also very dependent on your type of tire as well.
