Were the 18x10.5 +43 265/35's on rolled fenders or stock?

If the +43 was stock I say go with 18x10.5 +30-35 if the +43 was on rolled I say go with 18x10.5 +38-43

Not too much work to make those fit!

Maybe I'll go 18x10 front and 18x11 rear...I want to rock the staggered look. But I'm not sure if 10" wide front rims are too big LOL

I fired off a few PM's to some vendors for quotes on the rims, so we'll see.

Then I'll need to sell my Grams..

It's between getting the new SSR rims or some other interesting parts....hmmm....

Hankook Ventius V12 Evo K110. If I get my planned 18x9.5/18x11 fitment, then I'm thinking 255/35-18 up front and 275/35-18 out back

Same size all around unless you love that nasty understeer!

And some people prefer a staggered set up even on the track. I've talked to a few RX8 owners who do, just depends on driving style.

With all other things equal, changing from non-staggered to staggered causes understeer on our chassis. If you prefer the way that drives or tune the suspension components otherwise to dial it out then go for it but going staggered in itself will cause understeer coming from non-staggered. If your car balances well as it is with the same size tires in front and rear, what will happen if you keep the tire size (grip) the same in the front yet increase tire size (grip) in the rear?

Would make it "safer" though, the slight understeer, albeit potentially a hair slower...

But yeah, all comes down to preference lol.

Well my car has significantly more oversteer than you guys (try throttling in a corner with 300+ rwhp and we'll talk), so adding some understeer may be a good thing.

I need more rear traction but I don't want some huge front tires so I can still have a turning radius.

Heres their offest chart:

I would stick with 18x9 245/40/18 & 18x10 275/35/18 as those will be the lightest, most aggressive wheels running these tire sizes. (which is what it sounds like you want)

Lol that's confusing...so the numbers in the value boxes is the size of the lip? The lowest offset I can get is +34mm? Confusing....

yeah I know, it's wierd. I'm hoping c41250n chimes in as he had 19x10 "low disk" or "super low" offset (+24 I think he said it was)

The more I think about I might just stay with my Grams- they are lightweight, look good, and don't have any issues. It will free up $$ for some other interesting parts...

You sure the number under offset (34, 46, etc) isn't the size of the lip or whatever? and then the numbers under SL, NR, MD, etc. are the possible offsets of the wheel? Thats the way I understand it, but I'm no expert.

That would make the most sense actually, thanks!

tail happy =/= a car havine overseer. You can load buckets of power or clutch kick any rwd car and have the rear come around. I'd consider oversteer a car's tendancy to turn into the corner under hard driving rather than plow out (imagine a downhill run in neutral). But thats just me being picky, lol...

Not going aggressive? gtfo!

LOL my rear end comes out when I go hard into a corner reguardless of how much throttle I give it (my rear spring are too stiff I believe), so it gets even worse when I apply power (not clutch kicking or any of that nonsense, just good old fashioned powwa)

But I hardly think this is the thread to debate handling, LOL, aggressive wheels are more often than not going hurt it.
