^The guy with the IS350 is a local. I've seen it a few times, its a nice car and all but what's the point on spending thousand of dollars on race inspired products that will never see a track...

seriously so much hate, everybody spends their money on the **** they want, if someone wants to spend it on cocaine and hookers (charlie sheen) i wont judge hahaha thats their choice. if we were all doing the same thing life would be pretty dull
So ive got a question, I want to keep a pretty flush set-up but have just now been thinking about maybe going with some 17s probably like 17x9.5 + 18 or something around there, anyone know of someone whos run this size with some tire stretch? Most of the RX 8s that are running 17s seem to be more for funtcion.
17s just seem like a good idea cant really find any downfalls to them over 18s other than looks. If theres other please let me know. I have 19s right now and I feel like their too big looking.

A 17" tire in an equivalent size to your 19" will have more side wall and that sometimes can equate to a softer feel on many tires. Not sure thats a down side for everyone but you asked.
I really like the idea of cheaper tires with a 17 inch rim.
If you have a "favorite" tire check and make sure you can get it in the 17" size you want before you pull the trigger.

Some of the big things I Like about a 17 inch wheel is its cheaper both for the wheels and tires, weighs less, with my 19s I have a lot of road noise with 17s I'm sure I'd get rid of a lot of that and also correct me if I'm wrong but with a lil more sidewall I feel like that would soften the harsh ride from coilovers some.
Anyway I'm mobile now and can't see pics but I thought of a few people that have 17s with a fairly low offset so ill check out those pics when I'm home.
And Just throwing it out there but what I'm thinking about is some 17x9.5 +18 rpf1s

Thanks your car was one of the cars I was gonna look at later. Are you running much negative camber with That offset I don't think you would have to correct?
I like the look but I want to be about an inch lower than you are just judging by the pics.

I am not running much - camber. I am also on tanabe springs so if i could have gone lower i would.
I snapped some pics of Hoss-05's car yesterday to make him miss it even more
18 x 10 Forgestar. Stance Coilovers, still messing with them to find a good balance.
