Agency Power Sway Bars INSTALLED

Hey guys,

Just letting you know that we sucessfully installed the Front and Rear Agency Power Sway Bars on our RX8. I still need to get the car aligned. We had a few slight hiccups and had to source some parts to make it a "better" install and will post those details up so that this will be easier for the next person to come along.

I will also being by posting up detailed close up pics of the bars and endlinks. Mention certain aspects that make this install a little harder than a Racing Beat bar, primarily because of the size of the bars "adjustable plates", makes it difficult to wiggle into the vehicle. It got done tho, two people and some elbow grease.

I'm still working to dial in the suspension so I can provide you guys with a great review. I'm still playing around at the moment.

I'll get the pics up on the FTP and then begin posting my review.

ONE THING I HIGHLY SUGGEST: Purchasing some SWAY BAR MOUNTS AND BUSHINGS AS THESE ARE NOT INCLUDED. I made a fatal mistake and didn't read in depth that they say it will work with FACTORY BUSHINGS. We made the attempts and because there was so much resistance from the factory bushing we decided to ditch that recommendation and purchase on our own, sway bar mounts and polyurethane bushings. This simplified the installation quite a bit as we did not have to fight to get the mount over the "spread out" factory rubber bushing.

I will post illustrations of the bar installed with our mounts and bushings, as well as one with the factory bushing. I personally don't suggest using the factory bushing, it's just not "ideal". The Mount and Bushings I can offer for $20.00 plus shipping or just include them with the bars so go that route. It's much more hassle free.

The rear bar worked with the factory rubber bushing just fine. I did not have the rear mount with me to match it up and find a better replacement piece.

Inital impressions are that my car does sway less, so i guess that means they work. hehe. It is just a sway bar. I think the great attribute to these bars is that they are pretty adjustable, downside is I suggest you provide some of your own hardware to make it even better.

I am told that Agency Power will be including this hardware and instructions in future kits. None of the products we received had instructions included. We got lots of flyers and teasers tho. hehe.

Thanks Matt for the hookup on the bars. I'll be sure to post my final impressions and some installed pics.

Rishie

I used the Agency Power end links. We wanted to test the whole setup with their endlinks. The stock endlinks don't look to be very sturdy.

$lickmurf: As far as the endlinks go, you just pull out the old & install the new. Pretty straight forward.
