Adjusting rear coilovers
Adjusting rear coilovers
Hi,
I have some KW V3's and set them to a couple clicks past full soft to let them wear in for the first 1000km (someone said this I am not here to debate if its true or not)
The time has come to adjust them and the rears aren't nearly as accessible as the fronts, obviously. Do I have to drop the whole suspension to adjust the back or is there some trick I am missing? Can you cut a small notch in the metal to make it easily accessible?
Wouldn't dropping the suspension to gain access to this mess up my alignment?
Thanks,

Drilled a hole in the metal. Just make sure you take the shock out first before drilling, as you don't want to ding up the shock..

The problem with the KW rears is that the reservoir sits over the lower rear control arm, and I never found a way to drop them out without first dropping the control arm, and that means taking out the rear eccentric. Perhaps somebody smarter than me has found a way, but unless you have a cable or cut the hole, you will have to re-align the car if you want to change rebound, best I can tell.

Thank you good sir. Just what I was looking for!
And I love your wheels.
