45mm lowering springs question

Hi guys,

Has anyone tried 45mm lowering springs on an rx8 with wheels size of 225/45 18 ? Cause it looks like it will be touching the fenders... Do i need to mod the fenders ? Thanks

What springs are you referring to? I believe Sprint Springs are close to a 2" drop (50.8 mm), and people do not require a fender roll with stock tire size of 225/45R18.

Well yeah it seemed that way with the stock 17'' now i have aftermarkets 18'' with thoses tires. i guess height is not the prob but the wheel stick out a bit far out so i guess thats why it would be touching the fender and ill be needing a fender roll... is it long to do ? expensive ?

-45mm springs are too much for the stock hydraulics.

Early shock failure, and crappy handling.

most shock packages still won't deal with such springs well.

stock size is 18x8 et50 with 225/45r18, so your aftermarket wheels are only 15 farther outboard. Will fit no problem.
