350z wheels for my 8

hey guys...i'm looking at getting a set of 03-05 6 spoke 350z wheels for my 8. I need some drift wheels. Has anyone used 350z wheels on their 8 before? I just talked to my local discount tire co...they said that the 03-05 350z is 5 x 4 1/2 (114.3) and they said the same for the rx8. The only thing i'm not sure about is the staggard setup of the 350z...what do you guys think....

If you want good track wheels from Nissan, buy the 19'' OEM G35 wheels. They are manufactured by Rays so they should be pretty light.

"(The wheels are from a Z, they were given to me and are definitely the wrong offset... but they fit, and they bed themselves into the fender liner after a few weeks, so no rubbing anymore)"

the wheels in the pictures arent the same wheels as the ones i'm looking at. but i appreciate the post.

This keeps coming up here. RX-8 wheels are 50mm offset, if I remember right. If you can stay close to 45mm, that's best. Z wheels are in the 22-30mm range, typically. The difference is how much they'll stick out compared to the right fit.

Do yourself a favor and get wheels that fit right.

The wheels in that post are AFTERMARKET wheels from someone's Z; definitely not the same as stock. I would add that in addition to an incorrect offset, I think the Z has a smaller hub bore than the RX-8, which would require some machining if you really, absolutely, positively, must have Z wheels.

the rx8 offset is 48+. The hub bore is 67.1
the 350z offset it 35-42. And the hub bore is 66.1

basically...thanks for your input guys...but they just wont fit

"To maintain handling characteristics and avoid undue loads on bushings and ball joints, the car maker's original offset should be maintained when choosing new wheels unless there are overriding clearance issues." -wikipedia
