hey man this might be a stupid question but im wondering if in the pics on the 1st page of this thread are 25mm spacers all around or if you had a different size in the front. lookin to get some this spring so any info is appreciated ...thanks in advance!

why would you think that the OP used anything other than 25mm spacers, in a thread titled "25mm spacers"?

Keeping this thread alive..

Its funny how during this whole thread, not a single post mentions which hub bore you need to get. Of course, with my luck, I go and buy quality Eibach spacers and they don't fit...

The ones I bought:
Attachment 289351

These won't fit on the hub.

Ok, lack of research led me here and I'm going to eat it. Why no talk of hub size is mentioned in this thread still confuses me.. Oy vey.

So, i'm going to get custom ones made by these guys: http://www.motorsport-tech.com

I enter in that I have a 2004 RX-8 and it spits this out:

*********************
2004 MAZDA RX-8
Your Bolt Pattern: 5x114.3mm
Your Hub Diameter: 67.1mm
*********************
Type: Spacer
Hub Centric to Car Only
Thickness: 25mm
*********************

So if the hub diameter of our cars in 67.1mm, its obvious why the spacers I bought don't fit (being only 60mm).

Going through their "wizard", it then asks me this:

SELECT CENTER BORE

Please enter the Center Bore of your new wheels. The wheel manufacturer can supply this information, or you can measure them or have them measured by a machine shop. They are typically measured using a micrometer, and the measurement is to the hundred thousandth. It is essential that you submit a precise measurement to us so that we can machine your spacers to perfection.
So they want the inside bore size of the stock wheels? Scouring this site and google, I'm still not 100% sure without a shadow of a doubt what that should be and I don't have a micrometer to tell for sure. Then again, you would think that would be easy to find information on this site (and be SURE about it)... not so much. I'm going to be sure, i'm not buying a third set of spacers.

Apparently i'm the only one who is confused by all of this over the course of this thread so I'm hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

You should have searched, it's common knowledge. Why not just have the Eibachs bored out?

9krpmrx8 05-23-2012 09:45 AM

Here is another local I talked into 25mm spacers on stockers :)

The wheel will be the same as the hub. Mazda wanted them to match just like you do.

^255mm spacers? lol

9krpmrx8 05-23-2012 09:47 AM

What you talkin' bout Willis? :suspect:

O, is that how you find answers?

Also, you might want to look up the meaning of "common knowledge".

I suppose I could do that; bit easier said than done however. Machine shops?

9krpmrx8 05-23-2012 10:53 AM

Any machine shop can bore them out easily. It should not cost more than a few bucks.

"25mm spacers with complete OEM setup

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

It took me a while to read all threads related to spacers. It was a little difficult to find info and pics regarding a complete OEM car with 25mm spacers.

Here is all the info you need and pictures if you plan to do this mod on a stock RX8:

1. Ichiba V2 25mm (WS-5511467C): Complete bolt-on, no mods, oem wheel fit perfectly, with center hub (included) and 80 pounds of torque.

2. Bought through Work Concepts (Eric: info@worksconcepts.com): Friendly and great service.

3. Rubbing or vibrations: Nothing so far, at least with half-full tank and my wife in the back.

4. Flush: Perfect for a stock application (At least for me)

5. Alignment: -1.15 Camber all around with a touch of toe-in in the rears and toe-out in the fronts

6. Pics:

Some light rubbing in the rear when I have two people in the car with a full gas tank but nothing a light roll wont fix.

Nice man, I'm glad to finally see an R3 owner man up and do 25mm's. Looks awesome, that is the way it should have came from the factory. The H&R springs are great. more pics please.
