A spacer of that size (pictured above) must effect handling in some way I would think. And there is a ton of extra sprung/rotating weight there which will cause some performance loss

For a company running a race car with that much money invested you think they would get custom wheels.

Exactly. I wouldn't mind the added performance of coilovers if this is a solution with the price being right...Something with minimal adjustment needed.

Just installed my spacers today, purchased from Hector from Sarx. They fit awesome and look great. I am running stock wheel size, 225/45/18 and riding on S-techs. So far no issues. The only slight rub I noticed was at full lock going in reverse. Very please so far.

put my spacers on last week, when I painted my s2 wheels gunmetal and installed them
Havnt lowered the car yet, need to though

I received some tires when I got the wheels , so I ended up keeing 225's up front and put 245s in the back for now until I buy a whole new set of tires.

heard some slight rubbage in the rear when going down hill and hitting a nasty dip in the road with a passenger and my sub box in the back.

Well the sprint springs never happened. The website apparently isn't even in operation any more. Luckily I've saved up enough money to get some coil overs and won't be screwing with springs and screwed up shocks. Since I'm going with coil overs (probably Stance) I'm looking for some insight on being pretty dropped with these OEM wheels. I won't be getting new wheels until my savings jar fills up again.

I don't want the sunken battle ship look with these, hence me posting here. What size do you guys think I should get? I want it to look flush and I'm trying to hide the tire as much a possible. The fenders will be rolled.

Basically, what do I need to get to make these stockies look good on my 8 when I get those coils in? I'm wanting to go pretty low.

Go back and look at my setup.
It was 20mm front. 25mm rear.
I was on Sprint springs but had a lot of issues.

Since then coilovers are the way to go!

Bump this.. I have a set of 25mm spacers I just got but never installed because I got a deal on a set of wheels like 3 days after I bought the spacers. Look out for my FS thread if you guys need a set of spacers!

I'm on 225/45-18 with 25mm all the way around. In on teins too. If I were to do it again I'd go 30 or 35 in the rear since the stock camber on my car sits the top of the tires in a bit. If you're on 245s you can make the judgement call for the rear. Stick with 25 in the front and maybe 30 will give you a badass fitment eapecially if you're rolling and on coil overs.

Looking into buying some 32mms used from a guy on here and Im wanting some input. PHSALEX said he ran that for a bit and it was exactly flush.

I'm on 235-45-18, stock suspension till the end of the semester (Dec).

I want enough so when I roll fenders and get coils I can slam it and make the fitment the best possible. I'm thinking at the least 30 all around. Maybe 30 front, 32 rear if not 32 all around.

Do the spacers affect the handling? If so, how?

These are my next investment!
Not to contribute to the never-ending will-it-rub inquiries, but after reading through the thread twice, I can't seem to find an answer for anything lower than the tein S's.

I'm running meagans and am dropped about 1.5" all the way around. Any theories on rubbing?

Depends on tire size. But you will likely rub under certain circumstances because progressive lowering springs = bouncy bounce. Unless the Megans are not progressive rate springs, but I doubt that.

245/40 and yeah, they are slightly progressive, but not as bouncy as some I've had on other cars. Idk if that's the springs or the '8 that take the credit there

Do you have the Megan's on at the moment? If so just look under there and see how much room you have. Measure it and then get what you need.

I would roll fenders so you could be more aggressive without rubbing

This is probably a stupid question, but how bad could these possibly be?
