I hear alot of people on this forum saying that 245/40/18 tires a good upgrade on the stock rims. With the current 225/45 tires the sidewalls are flush with the rims(a very clean look). Does anyone have a picture of 245/40/18 tires looking from the side to see how much they bulge out over the lip of the rim?

I have had 245/40-18s on my car for some time now, and they look great. Check the PZero Nero M+S thread here about 3/4 of the way down for LOTS of pics of how they look on my car.
