i was with my friend today. who just picked up the neo gens for his prelude. not for the 8. eh to be honest. i think around the price range of that. i think u can probably do better. i heard bad reviews from couple of my friends. but i never had any experience with them, so i couldnt tell ya. =)

stay away from nittos.

I think max recommended width for stock wheel is 245.

why stay away from Nitto's i have 555 extreme zr's now and i love em, and i had the neogens on my focus and were very nice i didnt' know if anyone had tried em on the 8 i know the 8 makes significantly more power so i didn't know if they'd hold up.

wut zoom said. 245/40/18 is the widest i believe u can go on our car on stock 18" as for nittos its really matter of preference and opinion. since you've had it b4. and didnt mind it. then just go for it.

If all you ever had to eat were brussel sprouts then you would think brussel sprouts were good too. Try chocolate and your perspective changes quite a bit.

I'm sorry this thread is about tires, whoa THAT is embarrassing.

Carry on.

the neogens are probably an improvement over the 555s. But my past experience with nittos wasn't that great. Great poser tires, but I doubt you see any avid track junkie put nittos on and compete. For the price you can get some really decent tires that would give you all around comfort and performance i.e falkens and kumhos.

I believe for that price, you can even get Yokohama AVS Sports or ES100's.

We have 245s on right now but at one time ran 265-35-18s. There are also a few racers with 275 hoosier race tires on stock wheels.

Yup.

you can fit a huge *** tire on their, but its just going to roll over and your contact patch will still probably be 245-255, not to mention all the flex in that side wall.

I recommend staying at 245.
