there is no way your car can flip-over.. haha.. thats crazy wide stance.. i was concerned about putting 9.5 in the back and you managed to do it in the front... WOW.. good job for trying someting new!!..

id do it if i could afford 4K$ ..some members on this board just dont understand the drifter trend nowadays....some peeps are just too old skool..

Sup man, how did you get +22 offset?? Even Volk doesn't make the GT-V in that offset. Maybe you are mistaken?:
volk rim sizes and offsets

I tried to fit this setup from a 350Z on my 8 but didn't have the ***** to mod my rear fender. I have to hand it to you on the setup. That's seriously hardcore. Did you happen to mention what tire sizes you are running in this thread. Just got back from work so tired and too lazy to look around. lolz.

245/35 on 9.5" on the front and 275/30 on 10.5" in the rear, I won't win any prizes for saying this but IMO it's not the best choice to run wheels that wide for those tire sizes not to mention running a stagger setup on an RX-8, those 275's on 9.5" wheels with a low-mid 40mm offset range will fit well on all four corners without any rubbing inside or out on a lowered RX-8, no crazy alignment required, better handling balance, and you can rotate positions between all four corners

im running 245 on a 9.5 rim.. and i think its perfect..just the right amount of stretch...275 is just a waste of money and unecessary for a 9.5 inch rim.

and the last thing on his mind is handling.. i think hes going for a look..not worried about the ride quality and camber...

some peeps here are soo reluctant to try new things or do something crazzy with their cars..

not everyone bought this car for its "amazing handling"... please keep that in mind.

btw im running a 30 offset on my 9.5 inch rim in the back.. and just needed to angle the fender lip slightly...to avoid rubbing since my car is on its lowest setting... the 8s fenders can easily accomodate upto 11 inch rims or a 20 offset with minor fender modification.

It's not the tires - it's the wheels that are making that set up look too wide. I have 19s on my 8. 245/35/19 in the front; 275/30/19 in the back. It looks nothing like that:

800Deg. cool, that's the setup I am going with as well... what were you offesets for those wheels you have? Probably alot closer to +45 or +55 right?
What rim widths did you use?

I think the original poster's +22 offeset is what is accounting for the wide stance like you said...
