17" Mazda 6 wheels?

Bolt pattern is right on, the offset is fine, but is the center bore the right size to fit the RX8?

Search doesn't like "6"

Both the RX8 wheels and the 6 wheels have a 67 mm center bore.

I don't quite agree. It seems the RX has a 70mm bore. My dealer checked a 17" Mazda 6 wheel on an 8 : it did not fit.

And it seems I cannot find a reasonably priced 17" alloy (OZ is way over budget) for my winter tyres, in Europe. Well, I have another few months before next winter...

There was a post about this 2-3 weeks ago. Can't be bothered to do a search but I wrote down all the details, and it said : 70 mm.
I would not bet my salary on it, however the dealer's check confirmed it.

My info could be wrong, I got it out of a 2004 American Racing fitment guide. They've made mistakes before, it's possible they might have made one here.

Well, I just called American Racing, and their computer program on wheel fitments stated that both have a 67 mm center bore. But it was stated above that a dealer tried to fit the 6's wheels on the 8, and they didn't fit. I'd have to say that's pretty good evidence.

Also, American Racing provided me with hub-centric rings based on their info and the rings fit my car and my wheels perfectly.

Yes they will fit. Why?? My daughter has a 2004 loaded 6 with all the options. I took off my rx8 rims and her rims to paint the calipers l. Just for kicks she wanted to see what the rims looked like on the 8. I did not bolt the rim up tight but it did fit. To be honest her 17 inch rim looks better than the stock Rx8 on the car. She won't trade me.

Doesn't it depends whether your 8 has the big brakes/18" wheels?
Or maybe it's a EU/NA difference?
Will double check with the dealer.

At least some 17 inch wheels clear the larger brakes. Several of us are running 17 inch winter tires.

a single 17' mazda 6 wheel is currently installed on my car (6 spd/spt pkg) in the parking lot of my dealer (so they could move it around) while they order a new 18" wheel to replace the one I cracked in a pothole this morning-so yes it definitely fits

Hmm - you know what they say about green grass and fences.

I'm considering RX-8 wheels for my 6. Of course, I only have the 16" alloy wheels, which may not clear your discs, but still - I think the 18s on the RX-8 are gorgeous. I just didn't realize how heavy they are!
