I have an 04 rx8. My passenger's side xenon light is cracked and I can't seem to find anywhere that I can purchase just the plastic lens/cover. So I guess I have 2 questions...

1) Does anyone know where you can buy *just* the lens. Are they even sold like that? Probably not, but it doesn't hurt to ask, I guess.

2) If I bought new/used halogen rather than xenon like I currently have... could I basically "plug and play" my new halogens, or would I need to purchase some kind of kit? Thanks for any help.

 

Why wouldn't you just buy a proper replacement xenon headlight in the first place?

No you cannot just replace the clear plastic headlight housing. You could bake a halogen apart and then bake your cracked xenon and swap the clear plastic covers but that just seem like a clusterfuck waiting to happen. Just buy a used xenon.

 

Just trying to save money. I wasn't referring to buying a halogen for the sole purpose of using the plastic. I meant just buy and use a halogen assembly since I can buy two halogens for less than the price of one xenon.

 

You can get a used Xenon for $200.00-$300.00. You cannot just swap in halogens. If you are trying to save money you bought the wrong car.

 

The price I'm seeing for used Halogens is 150-300. The price I'm seeing for Xenons is 400+. I'm not sure where you're looking. Maybe you could point me to there? Thanks.

Did you call them or search the sites? If www.revvinsevens.com did not have them I would be very surprised.

 

Yeah, I called both of them and I searched their inventory. They had 0 working headlights. They had one for parts, but the plastic was cracked on it as well.

That's the only one I've found too It's got that slight chip but you can barely notice it. I'm waiting on some close up pics from this guy. If they're good it'll probably be mine.
