WTF are these!? And why do they look all burnt up?

WTF are these!? And why do they look all burnt up?

Self explanatory I guess. What the heck are these connectors and hoses, and why the hell are they burnt up? And why did they burn up?

Please help

really guys? you can see the alternator in one pick and the strut brace and throttle body in the other...

those arent burnt, they're broken and very dirty

Looks like someone stuffed a bit of braided hose in the broken elbow connectors......

those are the 90 deg plastic hose barbs that connect the three large vacuum hoses to the intake accordion just before the throttle body. Seen them get brittle and snap, but never burnt looking like that

dannobre is right, someone broke them and put some hoses inside as a band-aid.

Correct, between the TB and the accordian hose.

What's supposed to go there? This car is bone stock and looks unmolested from birth, to think these were something jimmy rigged doesn't seem right, but not saying they aren't.

Some part no.'s would be awesome so I can spend some money with Rosenthal

Oh, and more importantly, what is their function? The car seems to run fine, but if they've been like that since I've bought it, it could not be running fine, it's all I've known it to be.
