Weird Noise after 5k rpm WOT (Video Included)

Ive driven other rx8s and i know the difference between valves opening and what i have. When i go WOT above 5k my car "screams". I have an aem intake and im suspecting the screens got caught in the throttle body but im wondering why it didnt throw a CEL. Im going to take it apart at some point this week and see.

The power above 5k feels very laggy. i will get a video for you guys. Its hard to describe. The pitch changes and almost sounds like dare i say vtech (not trolling)

Any thoughts of what it could be ??

Check your coil packs and ignition wires. I had a similar issue where my car would be high pitched about 5k, and stop pulling after 6k, but still go to redline. I think it was a loose wire. Check for misfires too or a dirty MAF

Mine happened before and after the install. Like it was still present after new plugs, coils, and wires. IDK how it's possible, but I think that ended up being my problem. I would just check all those things anyways to limit your sources.

double check spark plugs. I had some weird issues a week ago with my power band at exactly 5k+ and it turned out that i sissied out when i installed my spark plugs. Didn't tighten them enough and they were easily backing out.

Thanks ill double check. It drives fine from idle to 5k once it hits exactly 5k pitch changes. I got a video of it ... whats the best way and easiest way to post a vid without posting it on youtube ?

honestly easiest is to throw on youtube, set privacy to unlisted just so it isn't added to the public search results.

Have you cleaned the fuel sock recently? Couldn't hurt to clean it for good measure--especially if you premix.

EDIT: Oh, (in left field here) check your starter. The "screaming" could be the sound of the starter chewing itself to bits and not disengaging.
