What's my next move?
Well for one, i'm gonna preface this with "Yes I've searched the threads trying to get the best answer to my question". so this is exactly what happened; I'm in the navy stationed up in bangor, wa and I've been underway for the last few months n left my car in a secured parking lot while i was gone. I have an 04 MT velocity red with about 75k on it. From what i understand, it snowed a few times and layed down quite a bit of snow (if that helps any as far as solutions go). So when i got back, I tried to unlock the door (viper security), dead. somehow, disconnecting the battery slipped my mind so it was pretty obvious the battery was dead. so we try jumping it; i try n get her started up and the engine is turning but she jus whines at me; the belts are turning and little puffs of smoke come out of the exhaust. I do the "petal to the floor and crank" method and i still get nothing. So i buy a brand new, and rather expensive, battery, thinkin that was the issue and head back to the parking lot, install the battery, crank. same thing: engine turning a smidge faster, whining, and puffs of smoke. I've searched through threads and read of multiple remedies: pop start while the car's being towed, switch out plugs and wires, new starter, spray oil into the engine somehow, take out relays/fuses, etc. I just want to know what the best solution is for my situation because regardless of which one i go with, I'm gonna have to get it towed out of that parking lot and the solution i go with is gonna weigh pretty decently on how far i need to have it towed and, more importantly, how much it's going to cost me haha. I appreciate any help anyone has to offer because i really don't know wtf i should do
thanks.
thanks.
I dont think your issue is due to snow... It hasnt snowed too terribly much. Did you add any Sta-bil before leaving your car so long? Could your issue be due to bad fuel? On the upside, your motor is still under warranty.
Off record, are you a nuke?
