Hey guys,

Weird issue: Had my clutch and flywheel replaced (ACT and BHR) a few months back. intermittently I will smell transmission fluid (i think..?) inside the car. It is not persistent, but just randomly while driving it might come up. I opened up the center console, and doesn't seem to be any leakage, I don't think it would even be able to leak from the shifter? Any idea what's going on?

 

Check that the seal is on properly and is intact at the shifter

Did they spill any tranny fluid on anything...it is smelly stuff and sticks around for a long time

 

I had that too once.... was a bad reverse switch at the transmission ... every time i was putting reverse in i smelled tranny fluid (was dripping on exhaust i think).

So check your neutral and reverse switch for leakage ... if they leak replace.
