Weird Noise in cold weather

Started to notice this since last year in the winter months. It only occurs when it is super cold. So basically if i let my car sit/park lets say overnight in my garage or while im at work for a while .. in gear and ebrake up. When i start the car the next day or after work ... let the car warm up etc etc. Once i put it in first gear .. clutch in.. throttle .. it feels like wheels are locked and after like a second they break loose and theres a "popping" noise sort of. Its almost as if the e brake sticks to the rotors i guess then when i put it in first and head off they break loose again ?? :S . This only happens when its really cold and when my car has been sitting in it for a while. Anyone else experience this ?? Normal ??

i experience it when i wash my car and then park it in the garage if i pull up the ebrake. It's just the pads sticking to the rotors. I know what you mean though, the noise is terrible.

one thing that works if you need to use the ebrake, is when you are ready to drive, turn on the car, release the ebrake and then plop down in the drivers seat ... lol ... it will cause the car to move a bit and release some of the pads. This way the noise wont be so bad.

Unless you're on some ridiculous incline, leaving it in gear is more than enough to keep it from going anywhere. Ever tried to push your car while it's in gear?

Mine does the same. Though I'll never be without the e brake. I started rolling down my friend's driveway, in gear, and that's only a slight incline, at most 3%.
