weird huge sound when engine cranks to start

weird huge sound when engine cranks to start

When I try to start my engine, there is weird huge sound coming out from somewhere under the car. I don't know if it's the starter. My starter is not updated. My car has 64000km on it and it's 2004.
Please help.

does the car start? is it a screeching noise, clanking? i get RO's like this "c/s car makes noise" lol.

ya car starts but there is like clanking sound when the starter turns.

mine is doing a screeching sound almost sounds like a belt screeching but don't know if it is but it stops after a little bit this happens only on start up

... so have you checked the belt? Should be pretty obvious ince you open the hood if it's that or not.
