Wandering accelleration??
I'll try to explain. I just bought an 8 with 48K on it. 6 sp.. Car has been dealer serviced all it's life. (I know, I know). I haven't driven a rotary before but I have driven some hot cars. All the guages read where they should be. (I've done a little homework)....Now, when I have my foot in it and am excellerating past about 5-6K it starts to fluxuate a little in pull power between 5-6 and 8.5K. It's not a drastic fluxuation. Sort of feels like a lack of fuel feed in a normally aspirated car when the fuel pump can't catch up with the demand. I don't believe the coils have ever been changed. At least no record of it. Matter of fact nothing major has been done to the car or there's no record of it. Any ideas
Thanks for knowledgeable replies

I wound it up yesterday from 2nd,3rd,4th and let off in 5th while pulling onto the interstate and didn't notice any letup in excelleration. Maybe I just had to blow it out. I've redlined it a few times since I bougt it. I also added about 2 oz of injector cleaner to half a tank of fuel. The plugs were changed 8K ago. No coil change on record. I would bet no. I'll monitor it for a couple thousand miles and get more used to driving it. I must admit it sounds really great winding up. Totally different from any other engine sound. Sort of find yourself relaxing and taking a deep breath when you pull it in the driveway and shut her down. YESSSS!
P.S. Guess I shouldn't think about keeping up with gas mileage for a couple tanks huh?
