Walbro Fuel Pump Question FC->RX8

Anybody know if the Walbro 255 p/n for an FC will word on an 8? I have a FC unit laying around that would save me the time to quickly diagnose an issue. Thanks!

What's the part number? Or post a pic. Doubtful though from what I remember of the FC pump assembly.

The pump is a GSS 341 unit however it seems that the 8's required pump is the gss342 unit. further research suggests that the fuel inlet on the pumps are 180 degrees opposite of each other which I could see causing issues with the stock pump cage. Rotating the inlet assembly is a solution that I have read people do on other forums however I don't always trust the advice of some of these gals and lads.. My assumption is that our stock FPR isn't one that will take easily to the higher flow rate requiring an adequate FPR to control this flow. Am I correct with with my assumptions?

The regulator will be OK..the issue is you might blow the top off of the venturi siphon that pulls the fuel from the passenger side tank. Usually carefully melting the top of it to secure it to the barrel will keep that from happening

I don't see the pump inlet position being too much of an issue. as long as the filter sock will fit in the bottom of the can you should be OK
