URGENT - Rusty spark plug threads (real not BB type!).
Sorry to post ANOTHER thread but have a very urgent query.
I have a flooded engine and have taken out the plugs. They look pretty good at the business end but the threads on both plugs of the same type (think it was the top two but do not have them here) were rusty. Is this normal? Should I do something to clean out the holes? NGK specifically say NOT to use a lube when seating the plugs.
Two plugs WERE difficult to get out but they were one of each and I think they were difficult because two had been taken out at the garage. So the rust made no significant distance to pulling them. I am missing the plastic splash guard so could be road spray but doubt it.
I am buying torque wrench in about three hours and will need to get anything else then. Propose to put plugs back in in about five hours 1-2pm Hawaii time.

Once again sorry to start a new thread just need some urgent input. Mods if you want please remove this post tomorrow.
