true they burn oil?

true they burn oil?

hello, i had heard these renesis rotary engines of our fellow RX8 sickness trend burn some oil..kinda like 2-stroke? is this true? they burn off some oil and its a good thing to check your oil level often? is thissss true???

thanks!!
yes it is true that they burn oil. its part of their natural design. it helps to lubricate the seals. its really not all that bad, all you have to do is check out the oil level about every other fill up. if its low then top it off a little. no biggie.

the oil itself is injected through an oil metering pump attached to the engine. It is not caused by a leak of any sort.

Uhh, then I have a question. I fill it up every other day and I just checked my Dipstick and it still syas it's full...what gives then?

I ahve an 04 AT.

Your car is fine. Just keep checking it. Eventually you will see that you have to add some oil.
