Exclamation Ticking sound after plugs installed

So my after my rx8 froze up on me this winter as it does most winters, I go through the process of removing the plugs and emptying the chambers of fuel. After I get the car back together and started it makes a ticking sound. I hear that its probably the plugs that may be loose and making a sound. I'm pretty sure I put them back in tightly enough, so my question is, can they be in too tight? Is there a "sweet spot" that the plugs should be rotated into? Or do i just need to go back and use more elbow grease?

Anyone else have this issue?

Make sure your plug wires are properly connected...the sound you are hearing may be the spark arching

when you are connecting the wires, you should feel / hear a click as the wire fastens over the plug.
try pulling them out and re-installing
