Today, I turned on my RX-8 and played some music from the stereo perfectly fine. After I started the ignition and put the car in gear, the audio suddenly just cut out. I tried CDs, Aux, and FM radio. All worked fine, except no audio was coming from my speakers. Not even the beep for pushing buttons. I have the upgraded Bose system and have a 2004. If it helps, I just took the tires off to replace fog lights, however, the speakers worked after that happened. Please help. Thanks!

 

Ok an update, I took the head unit out and checked all connections. Every thing is plugged in correctly but now, not only the sound isn't working but now the display above the controls is blank. I have no idea what to do. Please help.

 

Hmm. Interesting. I wonder where the short could be.

 

Alright. Another update, the display now works after making sure the faceplate was connected to the radio. However, still no audio from the speakers.

 

You already have 3 threads on this issue...why start more?
