Steer noise?

Good day all,

I am new to the forum and RX8. I've driven RSX and TSX before this. So far, I am loving it.
I just bought an RX8 brand new 07 model but I am hearing 'rusty' noise when turning steer wheel. This rusty noise doesn't seem to be coming from tires rubbing the ground but rather internally (have no idea where exactly).
I am just curious to know if it's normal or have the dealer look at it? I think I will take it to the dealer anyway but I figured, if this has been discussed this forum..
I've done searching by the way.

Thanks in advance.

Just came back from the dealer. I guess it is normal to hear the electro magnetic powered steering wheel sound. I heard the same from other brand new cars.
Anyway, thanks.

Yep...mine does it too and so did my 05 BMW Z4....much louder too, with horrible steering feel. All with electronic power steering. So far only Honda, on their Civic SI, has no odd sounds...far as I can tell.
