Starting problems

Is anyone else experiencing start up problems, even after all the latest flashes? just about every day (not every time i start it) my car struggles to start. My car has flooded before, so i know the procedure to not shuting the car off cold, waiting for it to warm up before i drive it etc.... I'm getting very nervous now everytime i start my car. i'm just waiting for that time when the engine just wont turn over.. and everytime i start my car the engine coolant light comes on for about a minute, then shuts off... like i said this is making me very nervous, any input?

I have the same coolant lihgt problem. It comes on for about a minute when I turn the engine on, but not all the times. It is on especially when it's very cold.

well, my car wont start at all because of Jiffy Lube, but I have had small problems with starting it. It just takes a sec. I find myself letting it warm up for 12 minutes every morning scared that somthing bad will happen to my car.

The coolant light should'nt come on, check your coolant level, in the reservoir tank and the radiator. Also check under your vehicle for coolant leaks (drops on the floor or your garage). If in doubt call the dealer.

Your battery may be getting weak too, again, the battery should be able to test it for you.

By "struggles to start" do you mean the starter motor winds over slowly (like a flat battery), or that you have to wind it over longer than usual before it starts?

its funny mine sometimes does that (maybe 3 times since i have had it) and when i let the key go thats when it starts! i think its like on the verge of flooding but manages to turn over. could be wrong but thats my guess. coolant light and hard starting should be unrelated. unless you are loosing coolant into your block- that would be a problem. hows your exhaust smell?

Mine does this every now and then...but I have found that if I turn the key to the "on" position (I think) you can hear the fuel pump. As soon as that sound is over I crank it, and have had no problems since. Every now and then I forget to do this and it takes longer to start.
