I have another problem with my 04 rx8, it has 30,000 on the clock and i am having problems with it starting.

It starts no problem when its cold. but when the engine is hot it wont start. If i leave it to cool it will start no bother, The battery has loads of power and turns no problem but wont crank.

I have has a service done just last week new filter oil and plugs but the problem is still here.

please help.

What's your ecu's firmware version?
I'd have it checked and updated with the latest one since you're probably still running with the low OMP settings of the first flashes, the same that caused many engines failures in the first years.

I'd ask for a flash update, wait a thousand miles or so and then perform a compression test.

 

Have them check the compression.

how many miles on the car?
