stalling when on split journey..

stalling when on split journey..
I can drive to the end of the earth ok without issues at all...
If I drive a bit and stop the engine when warmed up to fuel up and then try and carry on...at every junction or stop due to braking traffic my RX8 wants to stall on idle and I have to tap the accelerator to save it from cutting. I can restart it without issues and very quickly
The car was FINE before I reset the ECU and left it for the 10 mins etc to re-learn trim settings... now it is playing up... fine if I do one whole journey. Prior to reset it had no issues carrying on from a short stop.
When hot it doesnt hesitate when starting it works well!
