Hi Everyone,

First time poster be gentle!

I have just drove my 2004 RX8 home from work today only to head a scraping noise halfway through the journey. Upon inspection something has fallen off the car about midway up the car, it has some sort of wire coming through a hole which means it wont fall off completely.

Dont suppose anyone knows what it could be?

 

This thread is useless without pics. It could be your mid pipe I guess.

 

^+1 Kinda sounds like it might be the cat being held up by the o2 sensor wire. Def get some pics up to confirm.

 

If it's the cat boy would the car be loud

 

Maybe your o2 sensor fell out/broke? Or the little metal o2 sensor shield on the cat? Hard to say without pictures

 

Even the O2 sensor falling out would be loud as hell.....

Not much under there that is attached to a wire except that though ??
