There is a bit of good reading on Racing Beat's website. I would browse through it and read some of their data.

I got it back today. Runs great. The guy told me to run it ragged. Seems alot smoother..

to me, new engine means entire compartment replaced..i guess to them it means new piece of engine. I dont know. Either way, im happy. It does still have the annoying rattle i was hoping would disappear

Yeah basically don't putter around in it all the time. Make sure you rev it up to max torque peak ~6-7K+ a few times every time you take it out for a spin (after it's warmed up) it keeps the engine from building up carbon, which is what happens when you putter around a lot.

I suppose some Armorall clean wipes. I don't really know though as I haven't really cleaned my engine.

Armorall for the plastic bits. Otherwise, just make sure you're flowing lots of air through the bay

Actually, I had a couple oil-can malfunctions, and have been intending to get the engine bay steam cleaned for a couple of weeks. That's a pretty common practice for anyone who really wants it clean under the hood.

Glad you've got your ride back
Gunk engine degreaser is good for oil and general crud. Spray on and rinse off. Hand detailing after a good steam cleaning will really make it pop.

Now that you're back in the saddle, rev the wee out of it every day. I've got 78k on my 04 and I run the tach for a full sweep every day.
