:P I redline mine ALL the time, and my car is 6 years old now and only had the one engine replaced due to me crashing it and blowing the seals... :< it was such a good engine, I hope this one is just as good

 

I'm having the same problem...I had to pull over to the side of the road because the car wasn't accelerating and traffic was coming fast

 

Hey so I have the same issue as this guy that you are all helping, Here’s the info on my 8 before you guys start giving me ideas haha. It’s 17,000 miles on chassis but it sat for a while so engine was toast when I got it, I replaced it with a brand new crate rotary engine from Mazda. Installed it all myself with a mechanic. Everything works perfect except I have this same exact issue. Mine is an automatic though so it gets the misfire and engine blinking at 6k rpm and WILL NOT go past. If I’m parked I can rev it past it fine. I have replaced coils, spark plugs, spark plug cables and most everything else on this car because it sat for so long. It does not have a cat, I have a catless down pipe. I already got a compression test even though the engine is brand new and the engine passed with flying colors. Works great. But I still have this very little acceleration issue. Sorry for adding on to this I may have missed something when I read through all of your responses. Any ideas? All help will be appreciated
