Slight sqeal when gas is initially applied
Does anyone know why this is happening? when i apply the gas in local slow driving i hear a slight squeal....not quite sute if its a whistle....dont think it is....seems to be like a very very faint brake squel but occurs when the gas is pressed and the car starts to move but goes away once speed increases. any ideas??? ill probably just take it to the dealer ...it has to go in anyway for somethin else.
Actually, that is a bit of pre-ignition that happens when accelerate from idle and the ignition timing scheme switches.
There is a lot of initial ignition advance under light throttle (to make it "crisp").
This is "normal" and not an issue. Kind of a "fingernail-on-chalkboard" type of sound for about 1/2 of a second at most.
