skipping and misfire.

Well if its not one thing its another. I put a custom cold air intake on it today and it started jumping worse that ever. I took it to have the codes read and it still has the system leak(gas cap). Now its saying its running rich with a cylender 2 misfire. Where is this coming from? New coils, new plugs, and new exhaust(including high flow cat). Thanks guys. Once again.

im using a 3 inch MAF pipe. im not sure how aligned it is. but the pipe is ran into the opening in the front above the radiator, then to the passenger side about a foot, then down and back facing the drivers side. a little curvy i know. but i thought it may work. im using one of the screens, the other was ripped to sheads before i got the car from some thing. i didnt remove the accordion hose if that has anything to do with it. and im still learning about these sensitive little beasts so i have no clue what couplers even are.. but would the MAF make it misfire and skip that bad? i mean i just got in from work and granted it was cold i let the car run for about a minute before i left and it sputtered and spit for the whole ride home. it never turned off but that was because i kept burnin the clutch to keep it running. thanks for helping btw.

Yes, a custom CAI done improperly can drive the MAF crazy and it will in turn drive other things crazy. Your post says this was the only thing you changed before the issue surfaced, so best way to confirm it is the custom CAI is to pull it and go back to stock - see if the problem goes away (assuming nothing else bad has happened to the MAF, etc along the way).

Thanks guys. I replaced it with stock. Runs like a top. What size would be the right MAF mount?
