check ur battery and alternator ...

if your alternator is dying, it will also kill your battery cuz your car will drain it ...

its easy to test alternator & battery.

Yup...not going to be your starter because it is only used to start the car. Your alternator is what charges your battery. To see if it was the alternator turn your lights on when it is dark out and try and start the car...if the lights dim it is something in the charging system.

In order to help you more though we are going to need more information. Does your dash light up as a xmas tree when it dies? Does it sputter?

Just get a voltmeter and test the output, its a 5 minute job.

test the voltage first, if it fails don't even bother to test the AMPage

If you have it running and you keep it under 3K RPMs does it have a problem? Does it stumble during acceleration?

There is a 120 Amp link under the hood that blows from time to time, most commonly if you try and jump the car and reverse the wires. Check it out with the meter while you're under there.

You will see it labeled in the manual, on the fuse box cover, and on the fusable link itself.

How did you test it without a voltmeter?

Im pretty sure that the 120A fuse can't be visually inspected...but I could be wrong.

if his 120A fuse is blown he will not have power at all.

get a voltmeter and test your battery first. I have a feeling you will see something like in the 10~ range, thats the range that the lights and stuff will work, but no cranking power(starter won't turn at all), and when you try to crank it, everything on the dash resets again.
